With all the love and gratitude I have for you reading this post, I want to welcome you to my blog, neelam.world.
My name is Aditya. I am a 26 year old human being who grew up for some part in Hyderabad, India; although my early child hood is filled with moving from city to city and I identify as a nomad. For those of you who have met me, I am grateful for you sharing your existence with me on my journey.
I decided to start this blog, because I felt restricted by traditional social media. Human beings are complex, and I embrace complexity in my identity and world view. Instagram is filled with lifestyle and social justice; LinkedIn is brimming with growth mantras and inspiration for career advancement and Facebook is just dying. I can talk about social media a lot more in a later blog post 😅, but the point being, all of these platforms were too narrow to embrace all the complexity human life has to offer, and none of them allowed me to write like this: freely, expressively and on my own platform.
I am brimming with opinions, research, experiences and questions about morality, the meaning of life, technology, language, love and friendship, my body, the stars, the differences amongst our generations, food, family, philosophy, death, anxiety and depression, money, music, the climate, the mountains and many of the intricate beautiful complex conscious experiences and qualia that are welcome to us who share this world. I invite you to my stories and welcome your stories and opinions as we navigate through this world together (see the comments section below). I truly believe we are richer through the sum of our collective stories.
